Kiker Readers

CampReadReaders are Leaders and Leaders are Readers!

Kiker Readers is a volunteer program that strives to boost student’s reading confidence and skills. Students are referred to Kiker Readers by their teachers, and volunteers sign up for sessions during school hours to share the joy of reading with these students. No experience necessary. All you need is the desire to make a difference in a child’s life!

  • We welcome parents, grandparents, neighbors, high school and college students, or anyone who enjoys working with children.
  • Program is supported and sponsored by Kiker administration and PTA.
  • Volunteers work one-on-one with students. Sessions are fun, positive and celebrate effort and progress.

Volunteers must complete a background check and have completed or refreshed their Kiker Volunteer Orientation and Training.

Volunteer Orientation and Training:
 – Sept. 30 at 8:00am in Portable 9A
 – October 3 at 8:00am in Portable 9A
 – October 3 at 6:00pm in the cafeteria
