Kiker Elementary school Principal Selection process
Letter to Kiker Community from Sandra Creswell

Primary Parent Input Opportunity: Thursday, March 1 at 6:00pm.

Share what qualities are important to you in our new Principal at the Principal Profile meeting: March 1, 2018 at 6PM at Kiker. You don’t have to be an expert in Human Resources or aware of the current educational philosophies of Principal selections. All you need to be is a Kiker parent, which makes you an expert in knowing what makes Kiker special.

Come share your thoughts and ideas with AISD about what leadership traits and qualities are important for Kiker’s next principal in the following categories:

  • Leadership Style
  • Communication Style
  • Personal Qualities
  • School and Community Relations
  • Education and Experience
  • Academic Leadership

AISD will then consolidate feedback from faculty, parents and community members into these 6 categories. This will form the Principal Profile, which is used to narrow the pool of qualified applicants to the final 6 candidates. **If you are unable to attend this meeting, you can still provide your input by emailing Ms. Creswell at Sandra.creswell@austinisd.org or calling her at 512-414-1708.

Submit Potential Interview Questions for the top candidates by March 16.

Email KikerCAC@gmail.com any potential interview questions you or your student have for our new principal. You can also leave them in a designated envelope in the front office. The Principal Interview Committee will consolidate the submissions into 6 potential interview questions. We will submit these as drafts to AISD to be used in the interview process.
